Donald J. Edwards is the Managing Principal of Flexpoint Ford. Previously, Mr. Edwards was a Principal of GTCR, a private equity firm with more than $6 billion under management. From 2002 to 2004, Mr. Edwards was President and CEO of Liberte Investors (now First Acceptance Corporation), which he guided through the acquisition of a leading provider of non-standard consumer automobile insurance. Prior to joining GTCR, Mr. Edwards was an associate at Lazard Freres and Co., specializing in mergers and acquisitions.

Mr. Edwards holds a B.S. degree in finance with highest honors from the University of Illinois and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School where he was a Baker Scholar. Mr. Edwards is a director of First Acceptance Corporation and Triad Financial.
